The Optimist Warp

The Jackson Audio The Optimist Warp Edition is a limited version of the dual overdrive pedal designed in collaboration with Cory Wong, with only 1000 units produced worldwide. The OD1 channel is based on a classic Klon-style overdrive circuit known for its natural mid-focused response and transparent character. Jackson Audio recreated the circuit in detail and expanded its flexibility with an active EQ section. The OD2 channel provides a flatter and more neutral overdrive response, making it suitable for rhythm playing or for boosting OD1 with additional harmonics and gain. The pedal also features a Baxandall-style EQ adapted for guitar frequencies, allowing more precise control of highs and lows without harsh or fatiguing extremes. Full MIDI support is included, allowing independent control of OD1, OD2, and the EQ section.
