The Matthews Effects The Chemist Atomic Modulator is a multi-modulation pedal combining chorus, phaser, and polyphonic octave effects in a single compact unit. It features two fully editable sets of controls that can be switched instantly with a footswitch, allowing quick transitions between different modulation settings without menus or preset programming. Each control set can independently run one of three effect modes: Cobalt, a classic analog-style chorus; Iridium, a deep phaser effect; or Lithium, a polyphonic octave effect inspired by organ-like textures. This setup allows combinations such as switching between chorus and phaser sounds on the fly during performance.
