WOPR

The ThorpyFX THE WOPR is a dual-circuit fuzz and boost pedal developed from a custom unit originally built for guitarist Oli Brown. It combines modified versions of ThorpyFX’s Fallout Cloud fuzz and Veteran boost circuits, inspired respectively by the Big Muff and Rangemaster designs. The fuzz section expands on the Fallout Cloud concept with increased gain, bass, treble, and overall output, controlled through Volume, Sustain, Bass, and Treble knobs. The active Bass and Treble EQ can both boost and cut frequencies for broader tonal shaping. The silicon Rangemaster-style boost section includes Boost and Range controls, allowing adjustment of output level and targeted frequency emphasis. Unlike traditional signal chains, the fuzz feeds into the boost circuit, creating highly saturated and layered fuzz tones while still allowing each section to operate independently.
