MXR
Phase 90
Report incorrect information
The MXR Phase 90 is a single-knob analog phaser introduced in 1974 and one of the most recognizable phaser pedals ever made. Originally released as the Script Logo version before later adopting the Block Logo design, it became widely used across many musical styles and is closely associated with Eddie Van Halen's signature phaser sound. Its Speed control adjusts the modulation rate, producing everything from subtle shimmer to fast, sweeping phase effects. The pedal works equally well with guitar, bass, keyboards, and vocals, and features true bypass switching. Modern versions also include an LED status indicator and support operation from either a 9V battery or a standard 9V DC power supply.
