Memphis Sun

The Memphis Sun is a compact pedal combining slapback delay, automatic double tracking (ADT), and room reverb effects inspired by vintage studio recording techniques from the 1950s and 1960s. It includes three operating modes: Slapback 600, Sun Mode, and Room. Slapback 600 provides short to medium analog-style echo with up to 666 ms delay time and up to three repeats. Sun Mode offers mono double-tracking and short slapback effects with adjustable modulation and delays up to 180 ms. Room mode simulates the sound of a small recording room with adjustable pre-delay, tone, and reverb depth. The pedal applies strong filtering, compression, and harmonic coloration to recreate the darker frequency response and saturation characteristics associated with vintage tape and studio equipment.
