Packrat

The JHS PackRat is a multi-mode analog distortion pedal that recreates nine different pedals and modifications based on the ProCo RAT circuit. Using JHS's analog switching system, each mode reconfigures the circuit with different combinations of op-amps, clipping diodes, resistor values, and capacitor values to reproduce the characteristics of specific RAT variants and related designs. The available modes include recreations of the original RAT, White Face RAT, Turbo RAT, BRAT/Roadkill, You Dirty RAT, Ibanez LA Metal, Landgraff MO'D, Caroline Wave Cannon, and a JHS-modified RAT circuit. Controls consist of Volume, Distortion, and Filter, with the Mode selector choosing between the nine analog circuit variations. The PackRat covers a wide range of gain textures, from overdrive and classic distortion to fuzz-like saturation, providing access to over four decades of RAT-inspired circuit evolution in a single pedal.
