Mofetta

The Wampler Mofetta is an overdrive/distortion pedal inspired by the rare 1990s MT10 MOSTORTION circuit, known for its amp-like response and powerful EQ section. It recreates the original’s low-gain character, high headroom, and dynamic feel while expanding its tonal range with modern refinements. A full 3-band EQ provides detailed control over bass, mids, and treble, making the pedal adaptable to a wide variety of guitars and amplifiers. The added Texture switch introduces MOSFET clipping into the drive section, producing a more aggressive, articulate, and harmonically rich response compared to the stock-style voicing. Designed to function as both a smooth overdrive and a heavier distortion, the Mofetta delivers responsive, amp-inspired tones with greater flexibility than the original circuit.
