Cali76 Bass Compressor

The Origin Effects Cali76 Bass Compressor is an analog FET compressor based on the legendary Urei 1176 studio compressor, optimized for bass while retaining the ultra-fast response and studio-grade control of the original. It features dedicated Attack, Release, Ratio, Input, and Output controls, plus a DRY blend knob for parallel compression, allowing compressed and clean bass signals to be mixed for added sustain without sacrificing dynamics. An improved sidechain is tuned to match the response of the original large-format Cali76, and a 10-LED gain reduction meter provides precise visual feedback of compression. The pedal internally boosts the supply voltage to 24V from a standard 9V DC input for increased headroom, making it compatible with both bass and line-level signals. It features a high-quality buffered bypass, uses premium components throughout, and is designed and built in England.
