The PixelWave is a phase distortion synthesizer inspired by the gritty, character-rich 12-bit era of synthesis. Paying tribute to vintage Casio CZ designs, it delivers a wide palette of tones—from lush string ensembles and soaring unison leads to resonant filter sweeps and textured noise. Oscillators can be offset across four octaves in half-step increments with fine tuning, making everything from massive ’80s stacks to modern dance chords possible from a single note. Despite its depth, control is intuitive. The EDIT MODE switch and SELECT knob assign the RGB controls to a matrix of parameters, shaping waveforms, pitch, modulation, LFOs, and more. Switch to LOCK mode for stable live performance with access to master volume and preset selection only. Flip to MATRIX mode to unlock full programming power and sculpt detailed, expressive synth tones.
