EP Booster

The Xotic EP Booster is a compact clean boost pedal inspired by the preamp section of the vintage Echoplex EP-3 tape echo. Rather than simply increasing volume, it is designed to add subtle coloration, harmonic richness, and low-end fullness while preserving the character of the guitar and amplifier. Featuring a single gain control, the EP Booster can provide up to +20 dB of boost, making it suitable as an always-on tone enhancer, solo boost, or preamp-style signal conditioner. Its circuit is voiced to reproduce the tonal characteristics associated with the Echoplex preamp, a sound favored by many guitarists for adding warmth, presence, and depth. The pedal can operate at 9V, 15V, or 18V for increased headroom and dynamic range, and its compact enclosure allows it to fit easily on most pedalboards.
