Tremond Mini (The Brick)
Report incorrect information
The Tremond Mini is a distortion and boost/blend pedal based on the classic RAT circuit, specifically tuned toward early big-box/Whiteface versions and built around an LM308N op-amp. Its clipping switch selects silicon diodes, asymmetrical LED/germanium clipping, or no clipping diodes for op-amp distortion. A Blend control mixes the distortion with a dark-voiced MOSFET boost channel, while Boost LPF progressively removes mids and treble from the boost while emphasizing low frequencies. An internal trimmer increases the boost gain for warmer overdrive. The Mini version uses a compact 125B enclosure and adds relay-based true bypass with a silent switch using Steve Demedash’s Incandenza bypass design. It uses a partially factory-manufactured PCB with SMD components while retaining selected critical components from the standard version.
