La Brea

Report incorrect information
The Strymon La Brea is an all-analog overdrive and fuzz pedal that uses multi-stage tape-saturation techniques inspired by the saturation circuitry developed for the Strymon Deco. Tape Sat controls soft-clipping saturation, ranging from light overdrive and compression to heavy distortion and fuzz, while a Gain switch selects normal or high-gain ranges. Level controls the saturated signal, and Dry independently blends an in-phase clean path from fully off to +6 dB boost. A three-position Shift switch provides flat response, increased high frequencies, or a high-mid emphasis. The circuit uses pre-emphasis and de-emphasis filtering and operates internally at 24V for increased headroom. It features a high-impedance JFET-buffered input, low-impedance mono output and true bypass.
