Longsword

The Electronic Audio Experiments Longsword is an op-amp-based overdrive/distortion pedal with cascaded gain stages, covering a wide range from clean boost to high-gain distortion. Its active EQ combines Bass and Treble shelving controls with a frequency-selectable Mid boost/cut, allowing detailed tone shaping for guitar, baritone, or bass. A Diode switch selects between MOSFET clipping, no clipping diodes, or silicon diode clipping, providing different levels of compression and headroom. A dedicated footswitch engages a switchable mid boost, with an internal Boost control offering up to 20 dB of additional gain. The Longsword features relay-based true bypass, operates from 9V DC (95 mA), and includes reverse-polarity and over-voltage protection up to 24V.
