Konstante Grey

The Konstante is a dual drive pedal that combines a Klon-inspired overdrive with an EP-style preamp boost. The overdrive section expands on the classic Klon formula by using asymmetrical clipping and increased internal voltage via a charge pump, providing greater headroom, a wider gain range, and enhanced sustain while retaining clarity and dynamic response. The boost section is based on vintage EP preamp circuits, adding volume, harmonic richness, and extra saturation when pushing amplifiers or other drive pedals. Both circuits operate independently and can be stacked together for more complex gain structures. An order switch allows either effect to be placed first in the signal path, significantly changing the pedal's overall response. This flexibility makes the Konstante suitable as a boost, low-gain overdrive, stacked drive platform, or primary gain stage.
