Stonk Box
Report incorrect information
The Benson Amps Stonk Box is a germanium fuzz inspired by the Maestro Fuzz-Tone FZ-1, the first commercially available fuzz pedal and the circuit that later inspired the Tone Bender MkI. Like Benson's Germanium Fuzz, it uses a temperature-controlled bias circuit that automatically maintains the optimal operating point for the germanium transistors, eliminating the instability normally caused by temperature changes. Its Trim and Filter controls interact to adjust input gain, transistor bias, compression, and low-end response, providing a much wider range of fuzz textures than the original design. A Tone control smooths the aggressive high end, while Volume offers significantly more output than a vintage Tone Bender MkI.
