Bat Cold War

The BAT Cold War is a heavily expanded take on the classic Rat distortion, featuring selectable NOS op-amps and six clipping modes for a broad range of tones. Alongside the legendary LM308, it includes a rare NOS Soviet UD1408 chip, a reverse-engineered 1980s clone that adds its own character and response to the circuit. The clipping section offers everything from classic Rat-style silicon distortion to Turbo Rat-inspired LED clipping, smooth germanium saturation, MOSFET crunch, and aggressive op-amp boost clipping. NOS Soviet D9 germanium diodes provide a fuzzier, Dirty Rat-style response, while AAP-153 germanium clipping works especially well for bass frequencies. From tight distortion and gritty overdrive to heavier, fuzz-like textures, the BAT Cold War delivers highly customizable Rat-inspired tones with a unique Soviet twist.
