The Architect V3

The Matthews Effects Architect is a transparent overdrive pedal inspired by a legendary 1990s-era overdrive circuit, expanded with additional tone-shaping and gain options. In addition to its core low-to-medium gain overdrive sound, it features an active 3-band EQ for more precise control of bass, mids, and treble frequencies. The pedal also includes three selectable clipping modes, allowing different compression and gain textures ranging from smoother overdrive to more aggressive drive tones. An independent boost section can be used separately or alongside the overdrive, offering either a cleaner volume boost or additional saturation and gain. Designed for flexibility, the Architect covers transparent boost, dynamic overdrive, and higher-gain stacked tones within a single pedal.
