The Aclam Dr. Robert is a preamp/overdrive pedal based on Aclam's restored Vox UL730 (S/N 3042) amplifier, a rare model associated with the guitar tones heard on The Beatles' Revolver and Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band. It recreates the amp's distinctive preamp character while adding modern flexibility, including the Mach Schau! boost with an external Gain control, selectable Low and High Gain modes, and a full 3-band EQ with dedicated Bass and Treble controls. Designed for both guitar and bass, the Dr. Robert captures the response and tonal character of the original UL730 while offering a wider, more usable gain range for modern setups. The enclosure features artwork by Klaus Voormann, who created the cover art for Revolver.
