The Mocker

The Aclam The Mocker is a vintage-inspired fuzz based on the internal fuzz circuit of a Vox UL730 amplifier, faithfully reproducing the circuit from Aclam's restored serial number 3042 unit. In addition to the original sound, it recreates the unique gated and sputtering character caused by the misbiased components found in that particular amplifier. The pedal uses NOS Philips OA200 clipping diodes, the same type used in the original UL series, and expands the original design with Bias and Tone controls for a much wider range of fuzz textures, from vintage, smooth saturation to gated and modern-sounding fuzz. Finished in grey Hammerite as a tribute to 1960s British fuzz pedals and the original Vox footswitches, The Mocker also features Aclam's Smart Track® Fastening System for pedalboard mounting.
