NS-1X Noise Suppressor

The Boss NS-1X Noise Suppressor is a digital noise suppressor and noise gate that uses Boss MDP (Multi-Dimensional Processing) technology to reduce unwanted noise while preserving the natural attack and dynamics of the instrument. It offers three operating modes: Reduction for transparent noise suppression, Gate for ultra-fast muting suited to high-gain playing styles such as djent, tapping, and sweep picking, and Mute, which silences the output when the footswitch is engaged for instrument changes or tuning. Threshold, Decay, and Damp controls allow quick adjustment of the suppression behavior, while a Reduction indicator displays the amount of noise reduction in real time. The pedal includes a Send/Return loop for optimized placement with noisy gain pedals.
