The JHS NOTAKLÖN is a DIY overdrive pedal kit inspired by the classic Klon-style overdrive circuit. Designed for easy assembly without soldering, it allows users to build and customize their own pedal while recreating the transparent boost and overdrive characteristics associated with the original design. The pedal features Output, Treble, and Gain controls. At lower gain settings it can function as a clean boost with up to 16dB of output increase, while higher settings provide progressively more overdrive and midrange emphasis. The Treble control offers active high-frequency boost or cut, allowing the pedal to be adapted to different guitars and amplifiers. A dedicated Shamrock Mod switch adds approximately 4dB of additional gain, increased midrange presence, and an extra hard-clipping stage, providing a more aggressive and saturated drive character compared to the standard circuit.
