Report incorrect information
The British Pedal Company Compact Series Rangemaster is a germanium treble booster pedal based on the original 1965 Dallas Rangemaster circuit. It features a modern, gain-selected OC44 transistor, known for its bright, driven tonal character, and a modern potentiometer for improved reliability. Designed to emphasize upper frequencies and push tube amplifiers into increased saturation, it produces a focused, overdriven sound when paired with amplifiers such as the Marshall Bluesbreaker or Vox AC30. The pedal recreates the original circuit in a compact, pedalboard-friendly enclosure. Unlike the NOS version, which uses vintage components, this model uses newly manufactured or selected components. It requires an isolated 9V power supply due to its PNP transistor design and is not compatible with daisy-chained power connections.
